Would you Like a Hand Green
The hand symbol has been used in art since ancient times for example hand prints found in cave paintings. I was intrigued at how a rectangular piece of clay distorted when I inserted a hand form into it. As the clay is moulded over my right hand I had to make this with my left hand. This piece was dipped into white crackle glaze and the centre covered in partially reduced (to give metallic Copper) green glaze. |
